Apart from making a personal
donation, how can I help further?
Obviously each donation of whatever amount is valued beyond
measure as it demonstrates that the donor is a caring and
compassionate person. Please feel free to go ahead with local fund
raising activities.
How can I help people
learn more about WHEELCHAIRS FOR THE WORLD?
Mainly by talking enthusiastically about the appeal and give our
web address to those you personally know at home and work. Also
you can download our Appeal
in PDF format and print it out. Each person has their own circle
of influence and personal recommendation is by far the best way to
get people to act. If they do not have internet access you can
receive the gift and pass it on for them via our donation
page.
Are there any paid
members of Staff?
We currently have no paid members of staff. Everyone is a
volunteer.
I am a Disabled person in a
developing country in need of a wheelchair. How can I apply for
one?
Find
a qualified person to complete the application
form and send it with a current photo to me.
Are you a Registered Charity in the UK?
UK
Charitable Status is being applied for and is expected to
take around 4 months to be completed summer 2009.
We are currently registered
as a 501©3 not-for-profit
in the USA. (see
BGI details for registration number) As
a USA not-for-profit we are tax deductible in the USA and a
receipt will be issued for your use by BGI our accounting
department in Tulsa.
I have another question
not dealt with here, how do I get it answered?
Email me at geoffbone1@yahoo.co.uk
with WHEELCHAIRS in the subject line and I will reply
personally as soon as time
allows.
